Vicious and difficult to train, the wild Nexu is not an uncommon sight on worlds with gladiatorial arenas or a desiring a big draw for big game hunters. The Nexu made their predatory living in the chilly forests on the Idona continent of Cholganna, world primarily made of rainforests and tree-based cephalopoids which the Nexu effortlessly hunted whenever they hungered. Naturally agile, the Nexu had an odd feature which set them apart from most felines: a forked tail. Making up almost half their natural length, their forked tail acted as both a device to swing from trees as well as graspers when their paws or mouth weren't enough to get the job done. The majority of Nexu used their tails to wind up prey upon killing a particularly meaty kill, often bringing the carcass back to their nest. Standing at one meter tall and four to five meters long, the Nexu have four sets of eyes: two to see as most sentient races do, including humans, and one to see on the infrared wavelength, leaving them to be hunters who cannot be fooled by conventional camouflage or simple hiding. Having superior reflexes to most animals they fight, the Nexu are flexible warriors. At one moment they can be swinging from a tree with their forked tail, or body slamming a fleshy combatant with the sharp quills which trail down their back. Their claws, as well, are extremely sharp. They can cut most humanoid species in half, several Mandalorian gladiators finding themselves slack jawed when the Nexu's talons cut directly through their beskar armor, leaving their entrails to pour out for a slow kill.

As an independent organisation, the Hutt Cartel runs its operations on worlds which have seceded from the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire's control. The Cartel is a syndicate of a number of different Hutt clans spread throughout worlds which they've laid claim to, including their homeworld of Hutta, and the crown jewel of the underworld: Nar Shaddaa.
Though the Hutt Cartel may be a chain of clan alliances, their access to an almost unlimited supply of resources and credits causes rifts and feuds which, once settled, leaves traces of blood, deception, and greed splattered across the Hutt-controlled worlds.
Turf wars and personal vendettas are no small feat of the Hutt Cartel. The streets of Nar Shaddaa and Hutta are filled with gangsters and mobsters who are subject to territorial engagements, assassination attempts, theft, and black market deals.
Sources have revealed that the rivalry between Nem'ro the Hutt and Fa'athra the Hutt are evidently to blame for the bloodshed which, still to this day, takes place in the streets of Hutta.
Citizens are encouraged to avoid any business dealings on Hutta which is reportedly the heart of an ongoing battle for power and control.

Slavery no matter where it appears is always a topic of controversy. In the Sith Empire, however, slavery is the law and quite common. Whether you start on Korriban or Hutta, you will see people enslaved all around you. The Dromund Kaas planet storyline also features slaves in many of its quests. Hell, Sith Inquisitors even start off the game as slaves and boy do the NPCs never let you forget it.
Many people feel strongly about slavery due to the real world connotations. Wars have been fought over it, many languished in chains and in parts of the world slavery exists even in the modern era. For some it can be a painful topic, others a powerful tool in telling the story of a character. For better or worse, BioWare has chosen to make it a part of The Old Republic. In the Sith Empire, it is inescapable.
To kick off Empire Week, we're asking you how your character feels about slavery? Does your mighty Pureblood look down on the lesser races toiling away? Maybe your Inquisitor has a soft spot for those in a position he narrowly managed to escape? Whatever their reasons, there are bound to be characters on both sides of the issue. Let us know what you think, and we promise not to report it to Imperial Intelligence.

When you think of the Empire, whether in The Old Republic or the original Star Wars Trilogy, you think of the Sith. They are the evil overlords that represent all that is evil in the galaxy. In TOR though the Sith are everywhere and are controlled by players. Does this make them any less fearsome? Are they any less deserving of fear and respect?
Just after leaving Korriban or Hutta, Imperial players will encounter the Black Talon, a transport ship that can provide them with express service to Dromund Kaas at the risk of increased danger. While onboard the players will be contacted by Grand Moff Rycus Kilran, a member of the Imperial Military. The soldiers on board the ship show Sith players great respect, but the Moff seems to be the opposite, bluntly telling the players that their ship will never reach the capital if they do not follow his orders.
How do you feel about Sith player-characters? Will your character bow to them, even if they are a member of the Imperial Military or Intelligence bureau? To kick off the Sith-themed week of Force Reflections, tell us what you think, and be sure to give warnings if you want to use more than vague spoilers about things that happen in-game.
