The Galactic Republic's jewel of reconstruction efforts is no longer solely under their pitiful grasp of chaos and inefficiency. Their soldiers are failing and their resolve is weakening due to their bloated, foul idea of making Taris a world worth "living" on. Nothing on this planet is worth saving and everything is worth destroying. Every citizen of the Sith Empire knew this from the day it was razed, and historians would have hoped that the destruction would save the effort so that our strength could be used elsewhere, such as a second sacking of Coruscant. While the foolish former Republic Governor Saresh sought to rebuild the world, the most eminent Darth Gravus has the Sith Empire's best interests in mind as he carries out the Dark Council's wishes to occupy and destroy the presence of the weakened Galactic Republic.

In a scene of fire and death earlier today, The Dominator, flagship of Dark Council member Darth Jadus, was destroyed by a terror network run by a man calling himself "The Eagle." This man and his network managed to not only destroy an Imperial Destroyer, but also co-opt the Empire's broadcast system to send his message across the galaxy. Authorities on Dromund Kaas are responding. However, at the moment, they can do little more then clean up the wreckage and mourn the dead. Along with Darth Jadus, several thousand civilians and diplomats were on board as part of a tour that Darth Jadus was taking of the Empire.
Who are these people? How did they manage to kill a member of the Dark Council? We have lived our lives being told that the Empire was unstoppable, that the Sith could destroy any threat, but one of their greatest was felled by a few men and some detonite. Just how safe are we if they can kill a Dark Council member? I don't know about you, my fellow citizens, but I'll be sleeping a lot lighter in the coming days. How are we supposed to fight the Republic in the coming war if we cannot remain united? What exactly is the Empire going to do, and how did Imperial Intelligence miss something like this? Read on, and see a copy of what this Eagle has to say to us all.

Darth Baras is perhaps one of the most prolific Sith Lords during The Old Republic's timeline. While Baras has suffered the same lack of appearances within game trailers alongside Jadus, he was first featured in the web comic series Star Wars: The Old Republic, Threat of Peace, and then again later in the novel Deceived. Baras is also confirmed to play an integral role within Star Wars: The Old Republic as the master of those who choose the Sith Warrior class. Baras is a curious figure. He is quite a stark contrast to several other Sith in history and his fellow Sith of his time, notably being Darth Angral. He was shown to be particularly unambitious and rather humble, declining the offer of more power from the Dark Council. Most peculiar, however, was that Baras was demonstrated to have more inner peace than a Jedi Master! But beyond these peculiarities, Baras was shown to be quite self assured and manipulative – all traits demonstrated by most (if not all) Sith.

Darth Jadus is both a prominent and enigmatic figure. Not much is yet known about him but his mysteriousness and elusiveness both speak volumes about his character. Unlike one of his contemporaries, Darth Malgus, Jadus has not been seen in any trailers or images, save only for a HoloNet entry on The Old Republic's official site. But perhaps the lack of spotlight on Jadus isn't such a bad thing. After all, his character is one swathed in secret and shadow.Jadus is presumed to have been born on the Sith capital of Dromund Kaas. There are no records of who he was prior to adopting the name of Jadus, if that isn't his given name in the first place, or who his master was. What is known is that Jadus is of human descent, that he has a seat on the Dark Council and that he rose to "prominence" during the Great Galactic War and, later, the Cold War that followed. It is also known, or at least hinted at, that Jadus at one point had a daughter who would be his only known apprentice. However, true to her father, information on the daughter is almost nonexistent. He is also one of the most restrained members of the Sith; an extremely stark contrast to Sith as we know them. It is not even known what fuels him – anger, hatred, rage – as any and all of his emotions are contained within his mysterious being.
