In a scene of fire and death earlier today, The Dominator, flagship of Dark Council member Darth Jadus, was destroyed by a terror network run by a man calling himself "The Eagle." This man and his network managed to not only destroy an Imperial Destroyer, but also co-opt the Empire's broadcast system to send his message across the galaxy. Authorities on Dromund Kaas are responding. However, at the moment, they can do little more then clean up the wreckage and mourn the dead. Along with Darth Jadus, several thousand civilians and diplomats were on board as part of a tour that Darth Jadus was taking of the Empire.
Who are these people? How did they manage to kill a member of the Dark Council? We have lived our lives being told that the Empire was unstoppable, that the Sith could destroy any threat, but one of their greatest was felled by a few men and some detonite. Just how safe are we if they can kill a Dark Council member? I don't know about you, my fellow citizens, but I'll be sleeping a lot lighter in the coming days. How are we supposed to fight the Republic in the coming war if we cannot remain united? What exactly is the Empire going to do, and how did Imperial Intelligence miss something like this? Read on, and see a copy of what this Eagle has to say to us all.

It is a time of crisis on the Imperial capitol. While the streets of Kaas City gleam and high society abounds, deep in the jungles of Dromund Kaas lurk threats to our great Empire. Slave rebellions and plots from our own subjects have put the capitol at risk. However, we can report that these crises are all now under control. The Imperial Military and Imperial Intelligence are mopping up the remaining cowards fleeing into the brush.
Loyal citizens, while we can look forward to a glorious future with the galaxy united under the Empire, I caution you not to blind yourselves to the continuing threats all around us. Dilligence is your duty to the Emperor. The spies of the enemy may be everywhere, looking to incite chaos in our midst. Do your part and report any unpatriotic behavior to Imperial Intelligence. For now, however, continue on past the break to read our detailed coverage of the crises our homeworld has faced.

Darth Jadus is both a prominent and enigmatic figure. Not much is yet known about him but his mysteriousness and elusiveness both speak volumes about his character. Unlike one of his contemporaries, Darth Malgus, Jadus has not been seen in any trailers or images, save only for a HoloNet entry on The Old Republic's official site. But perhaps the lack of spotlight on Jadus isn't such a bad thing. After all, his character is one swathed in secret and shadow.Jadus is presumed to have been born on the Sith capital of Dromund Kaas. There are no records of who he was prior to adopting the name of Jadus, if that isn't his given name in the first place, or who his master was. What is known is that Jadus is of human descent, that he has a seat on the Dark Council and that he rose to "prominence" during the Great Galactic War and, later, the Cold War that followed. It is also known, or at least hinted at, that Jadus at one point had a daughter who would be his only known apprentice. However, true to her father, information on the daughter is almost nonexistent. He is also one of the most restrained members of the Sith; an extremely stark contrast to Sith as we know them. It is not even known what fuels him – anger, hatred, rage – as any and all of his emotions are contained within his mysterious being.

For an Empire driven by a philosophy based on humanocentrism – placing humans above all other races – one of its most famous members in The Old Republic sure did have a soft spot for a female of a race usually seen as less than equal compared to the Empire's finest. Darth Malgus, Sith Lord and Commander of the Imperial Military, has been depicted in all three of BioWare's cinematic trailers for their upcoming Star Wars-themed MMO. Despite his success on the battlefield against the Republic's and Jedi Order's finest combatants, there is more to this character than meets the eye. Who was the romantic interest that caused a weakness in Darth Malgus that was almost exploited by a Jedi after the Sacking of Coruscant? What happened during his upbringing that gave way to his malevolent nature? And what about that face mask? All will be revealed in SWTOR-RP's focus on one of the more well known members of the Sith Empire; Darth Malgus.

Author: Tziena,  BioWare,  Darth Jadus,  Janarus,  Jewl'a Nightbringer,  Star Wars,  Star Wars The Old Republic,  SWTOR,  The Old Republic,  TOR

Politics and intercultural relationships have been a staple of the Star Wars genre despite the fact that the majority of primary characters have been human. Today, our friends at BioWare have released some new characters with interesting political and cultural ties.
First, we have Janarus. This Supreme Chancellor of the Republic was thrust into his position after he predecessor was killed in the Sacking of Coruscant. At the time, Janarus was the senatorial representative for Coruscant (so he probably has a British accent), and his colleagues unanimously voted him in as Chancellor. However, it has been years since that horrid event, and Janarus' influence is slipping.
Secondly, the second person to step in the bar is the primary Sith Council influence for Imperial Intelligence. Granted, to be on the council you have to be a Force user, right? Well, apparently the people under you do not have to be Sith. This is the case with Darth Jadus. The cold-hearted Lord has taken to including many non-Force users under his command, much to the chagrin of his peers.
Lastly, Jewl'a Nightbringer is a Zabrak bounty hunter with an intense hatred of the Mandalorians, but who could blame her. She lived on Coruscant during the time of the blockade of the Hydian Way. She grew up as an orphan on the streets trying to survive with nothing be her cunning to help her. She eventually took on the Mandalorian's Great Hunt and won. To amplify her victory over the Mandalorians, she defeated hundreds of them in honor duels.
