Here we go spacers, spicers, 'transportation specialists', and my darling riff raff. The powers that be at the Holonet News Network brought me back as soon as I stuck my 'lekks an inch out of the hole I was hiding in. Who'd have thought that someone in this galaxy of ours liked reading my little column?
A lot of things are funny after you've gone to ground. It's not a situation that any of us who make our lives in the black want to think about. Because, more often than not, going to ground means exactly that. We're having to plant our two feet on a planet, dig a hole, and learn to let go of whatever dreams of flying that still rattle about in our brains. The thought is so disdainful that the action going to ground is often a last ditch effort to save our physical well-being.
In other words, we frotzed ourselves so royally that even the Alderaanian nobles are calling us by pompous titles.
The trick in going to ground is knowing when it's safe to poke your head out of the sand and get a feel for the galaxy again. Sometimes it takes owning up to your bounties, your actions, and your past. None of that is easy when it demands we throw down hard-earned credits.
When it comes to living in the black as we do, credits are easy to come by and hard to part with. In my experience, going to ground is a bit like throwing a slave-collar around your neck and accepting what you're forced to do. And with that outlook, the credits are easy to part with.
So, here we are, dancing with the stars, embracing nebulae, moving cargo and running headtails first into the black markets.
Welcome back to the Quick Fix.
We have featured artists across the servers, from the Progenitor
to Ebon Hawk
. But we felt it was time to take a peek at artists, musicians and talented people on the Jung Ma
server as well.
Say hello to an artist known in-game as Luniara. She had the following to say about her artwork:
"I am 28 years old and have been drawing since I could manage to draw more than just a scribble on a piece of paper. Art has always been a part of my life. My Father, an artist as well, always strove to encourage my abilities and never told me that I couldn't amount to something with my talent."
And she had this to say about how SWTOR has inspired her artwork in recent years, from before the game had been released all the way up until now:
"What inspired me so much about
SWTOR to begin to focus on it enough to illustrate various pieces was the early fan art community on the SWTOR.com forums and my friends. The lore of this universe is so open and so easily adapted so that you can really put yourself into the story and get a feel for character creation. Prior to launch, many in the FanArt community worked together to create character stories and a lot of us ended up connecting our characters together."
I think a piece that really stands out for me is the one below
. A picture of Luniara's
Sith character, on the Jung Ma
Today we will be looking at various happenings not only on one singular planet but also on the HoloNet.
Darth Tekthon has been seen with his power-base (though we heard through the rumour mill his power-base was dismantled so maybe they were just hired thugs). The diplomatic Darth works heavily within outreach programs, and we think he is likely there to try to smooth relations with the Republic Diplomats and Sith officials.
Something has been setting the Holonet on fire recently; news of a secret organisation called The Labyrinth!
We spoke to a HoloNet specialist, Doctor Kara Sillen, who basically just watches the data-streams and analyses HoloNet trends and she had this to say: "It is like any rumour: they come and they go and very few are true. I highly doubt that this one holds any truth."
But an anonymous Holo-message sent to us only yesterday seems to suggest otherwise.
"They are a threat to the Republic. If the authorities won't listen to me, the media must!"
You have been heard my friend. Thanks for the tip!
We can't quite get anything solid, but people are whispering, tongues are wagging, and this reporter smells something interesting coming up! But hey, if it really is all just the ramblings of a madman, at least we had fun covering it all.
That is enough for now folks! Look out for the next digest. I am sure it will be interesting!

In this article, we want to go for the gem of the Republic, the shining jewel in our crown, the home of everything we hold dear.
The Jedi Order known as the Republic Conservancy held an event last week, focusing on the commemoration of those lost in the great battle long ago known to many as the Sacking of Coruscant. Many Jedi and Republic troops alike died in that battle; it still causes a great deal of pain and mourning throughout the galaxy.
The rather large gathering was held in the Senate Gardens and included a fair number of Jedi and non-Jedi. Attending also were diplomatic representatives from varying factions. Itt heartens the reporters of this news feed to know that even now, there is still time to spare for the fallen. War has touched all of us from corner to corner of this galaxy and it is important to remember those that have lost their lives.
Lord Mtidja Esabe has been spotted out and about again (though obviously not on Coruscant. That would be a scandal). Originally of Coruscant, the failed Jedi Initiate is rumoured to have been banished from the Jedi Order for a love affair with a fellow initiate. Isn't that scandalous? We cannot help but to wonder just who this Jedi might be.
The aforementioned Lord's previous Apprentice is said to be up for execution for treason if she is caught, along with pretty much everyone in House Lessia, the house of defectors, not forgetting the once Darth, Sidre Lessia herself. The Empire doesn't play nice, does it? Tut tut boys and girls of the Empire. Take a chill pill and stop taking yourselves so seriously.
Don't worry Sidre, the Republic has you safe and sound.
The next edition of The Galaxy Around You will feature Voss and other news around the galaxy

I want to cover a subject that I think has touched us all, whether it be in-character or out-of-character. It is a subject that has defined our characters as they progress through the role-play that we undertake with them.
This really makes me think of Nomi Sunrider
. She is one of my favorite characters, I must admit. Though there are plenty of defining moments in the lore (not forgetting one of the most famous; Queen Padmé Amidala
of course), they have very likely all touched our hearts.
I know that when Nomi’s husband
was killed at the hands of villainous gangsters, I felt my heart jump at her plight and indeed I have put my own characters through similar experiences.
I think even the death of Gav Daragon
sends little chills through my spine when I think about that moment when massive solar flares triggered by the dastardly Naga Sadow
consumed the meditation sphere
in which Gav had been trapped. Jori’s reaction (Jori Daragon
is Gav's sister) had been to lead the Republic
fleet to the Sith home world
and see her vengeance made real upon the damaged Sith Armada.
Perhaps heart breakingly, Jori’s only wish for having helped to save the Republic had been to realise the dreams she had shared with her brother; buying a Hutt repair dock located in Cinnagar
So it ended well, right? But what about your characters? How do they deal with loss? Do they just get on with things? Or do they break down and refuse to recognise the death of a loved one? Do they eat a tub of icecream and generally veg out when a loved one leaves them for greener pastures?
This planet is not a part of the Galactic Republic, as any citizen would know. However, our insiders like to tell us a little bit about what the Sith Empire gets up to from time to time.
Unusual happenings on Dromund kaas, from massive solar flares to an widespread insect infestation of which was ultimately overthrown by the now disassembled Qorit Network. But let us not forget rumours of a Sith Lord getting up to no good!
Some say that Lord Cerrabus' experiments are linked to the spree of disappearances on the planet Kromus, but nothing can as yet be confirmed. We know that this specific Lord is said to be associated with the order known as The Keepers of the Vaults, and we have to wonder, are they up to something, or is he just a rogue Lord performing dastardly experiments? Or... maybe this is all just a wild rumour that has gotten out of hand!
We are told by valuable sources that Darth Covenant Aridian took a little time out from attempting to dominate the wider known galaxy. The Darth is said to have been chilling out with her powerbase the Singularity at the highlighted event of the decade, the Imperial Gala, which was held right slap bang in the centre of all that is entirely wrong with the Empire: Kaas City! We have not been able to follow up on what else they have been up to, but we will be sure to report when we find them. They cannot be up to any good, surely.
The next article will be covering: Coruscant.

Naturally, the Jedi are a large part of what makes the Galactic Republic so successful.
The relief efforts are over, and with most of the Jedi attempts to rebuild having succeeded, things are getting better for the Jedi Order. Morale has been down after the Sith invasion of the Jedi home world, but things seem to be on the up and everything is back on track!
The Lost Praxeum are recovering after the loss of Master Eluon Voska during the attack, and his Padawan is said to have been doing well in the wake of the Jedi Master's demise. We intend to seek permission to head planet-side in the near future and see if we can't get the low-down on how people are faring in the wake of the invasion.
The next article will be covering: Dromund Kaas.

This week we will be covering a rather well known character on the Progenitor server.
Her name is Neiju
: a Twi'lek
girl more accustomed to the manners of a Hutt
than the intricacies of diplomacy or the harsh realities of battle.
While interviewing the glamorous Twi woman, she had this to say about the people she spends her time with, whether it be working for Terunda the Hutt
or while working as a hostess in the Velvet Pearl
"I enjoy most all the lovely people I work with daily. It's the highlight of my day to chat with them and to meet new people! I love the people I'm working with! I'm a people person!"
Perhaps expectedly she declared her own greatest enemy to be boredom! She does not seem to be the kind of girl who likes to sit still. It is all go go go for this fast paced and rather glamorous woman.
"It's a good thing we live in a really colourful galaxy, with lots of entertainment available. I drive boredom away by hanging out with friends, playing hologames and chatting with people. Quite often I hang around in the galaxy-famous Velvet Pearl club on the Promenade!"
And interestingly, even though Neiju seems to have a taste for the fast, the furious, and the glamorously obtuse, she seeks to someday settle down, have a few children. Perhaps find a little cottage on a dusky hill somewhere, huh?
We are not only looking at planets in this digest, but we also want to cover other less widely known portions of the galaxy, so sit back, relax and read about the happenings.
We want to be fair and try to cover more than just the core planets that you read about every day, so how about a look at the Outer Rim! And boy folks, it doesn't get more exciting than this! A colonial freighter spotted a space battle of epic proportions in the Arkanis sector! A spectacular sight just over the planet Geonosis, it seems to have been a scrap between Republic vessels and those of the Sith Empire.
Several ships were reported to have been destroyed with many casualties, including the once Jedi Knight Toric Ishtar who was registered as deceased within the Galactic Republic archives only this morning, along with many other souls who seem to have lost their lives in this battle.
What is it that Jedi say? Force be with you? It must be a somber mood indeed for the Vodo Baas Academy who seem to have been hit hard in this recent conflict within the Arkanis sector. But one has to wonder, why are they there? What are the Sith up to? And are the Jedi going to counter whatever the Empire seems to be planning? We intend to send out our ground team to investigate and find out. Hopefully the Jedi will be more forthcoming than they usually are.
The next article will be covering: Tython.

Previously we took a look at Alderaan. The next planet in this focus will be looking at Nar Shaddaa, from the downright criminal and dastardly to the bright-lights and the glitzy women!
We have word that some heavy duty arms dealing has been occurring within the seedy underbelly of the Hutt moon. We can't confirm anything, but everything points to the Marlov Syndicate being the go-to guys for these sorts of things. Again, this is all just rumour, but with Nar Shaddaa, who knows? It's all drugs, girls and money in what some might call the public toilet of the galaxy!
And in other news, there has been a bombing in the Cartel Central Exchange Bank with five dead, including the Hutt Dukudda. There seem to be no suspects as of yet, but we wonder if those dastardly pirates from the Pirate Consortium might be behind it! I wouldn't put it past them.
Has anyone seen our own personal caped crusader, Spectre of late? I don't know about you, but I'd love to get my hands on some juicy gossip about that one!
In lighter news, Terunda
the Hutt of the Hutt Cartel is going to be judging this year's Mister and Miss Nar Shaddaa pageant
, and alongside him in the voting will be last year's winner Neiju
; a front woman for the aforementioned if infamous Hutt who runs the organisation known as Terunda Hutta.
This beautiful Twi'lek is said to currently work as a Hostess in the Velvet Pearl
; a high class gentlemen's club on the upper promenade, and she is also said to own her own dance studio! This Twi'lek has it all! No? But as you know boys and girls, we don't buy the sweet and innocent façade many like to employ. We will be watching this one and closely! Watch out Neiju, we have our eye on you.
Next up: The Outer Rim!
